Still here

We're still here...just trying to get our house all packed up for the move this week. I have some pictures of the girls over the past few weeks but I can't promise that those will get downloaded before we pack the computer up.

Claire is doing great. She's crawling full force and high speed. She's also pulling up really well and has attempted cruising around the furniture. Which leads me to her first visit to the ER last Wednesday night. She fell and hit her head on the corner of a table in our living room. Long story short, she is fine and the bruise is almost gone. She now has seven (yes, seven) teeth and is starting to enjoy some non-baby foods.

Maggie is enjoying life as well. She just amazes Andy and I on a daily basis with her energy, love and happiness. She survived our traumatic event #2 really well last week. Thursday (the day after Claire's ER visit), we were in a car wreck on the way home from work and school. I was in a turn lane driving up to a red light to make a left turn and a car in the lane to my right apparently needed to be in front of me. I tried to stop but didn't have enough space or time to do so. Four hours later, we were home minus one Honda van plus four very tired and exhausted Kennedys. Maggie got a scratch from her seatbelt on her neck but she is just fine.

Both girls are with Papa and Gigi this week enjoying being spoiled while Andy and I pack up the rest of the house and get moved. We'll see them Friday night and can't wait.

Alright, well I'm off to go pack more boxes...

Andy and I figured it was time...

To move again! Since we have been married, we have moved 4 times...this will be our fifth! We have become experts. Thankfully, it's not across the country this time...just closer to work, church, everything... We've loved our house in the suburbs but the commute has gotten hard with two kids and we have elementary school on our horizon in one year. We are in the midst of packing and will be moving July 3rd.

Here are a few pictures of the girls over the past few weeks.

THE Ballet Recital

Maggie had her first ballet recital Saturday night. Words cannot express how proud Andy and I are of her. She did so well. Now, I know we are her parents and even if she isn't that good of a ballerina, we will always think she is great. However, she blew us away with how good she was. Here is the video:

Maggie had a great time at the recital and got pretty flowers at the end as any proper ballerina would. We have already signed her up for the summer session of ballet so there is no stopping now!

Here are the pictures:

Easter Explosion 2009

So much is happening right now. We just finished the birthday party last weekend, and this weekend we had a visit from Gran and Aunt Amy. . . and the Easter Bunny. Maggie and Claire looked their best today for church, and even cooperated for a few pictures. Maggie, Claire and I played outside most of the afternoon, and finished up with a walk down to the river behind our house. Tiring, but good, weekend.

The busy-ness continues. Katie will be in Wisconsin for part of the week, so I'll be flying solo again. We're taking the girls to stay with Meme and Pap next weekend.

There's also some videos of a very-candid Maggie. Enjoy

~Andy

PS Happy Easter

The Birthday

Maggie is now officially 4 years old! She had a blast at her party Saturday and there are too many pictures to post here. If you want to see all 100+, just send me an email. This picture just about sums it up.

She concluded her birthday festivities yesterday afternoon with a party at school with her friends. They all seemed to enjoy the cupcakes and I'm sure the pink icing stained their lips for a little while, sorry to all the parents!

4 years in the making

As Maggie's 4th birthday approaches, I just cannot believe it. As I was looking through pictures of Maggie over the past 4 years it amazes me how much she has changed, both in appearance and personality. She is such a funny little girl right now and is so affectionate with Andy, Claire and me. Her birthday party is this weekend and I know she will have a blast.

Here is a slideshow of how Maggie has grown in the past 4 years.

Smoky Mountains or bust

We got back yesterday afternoon from a great long weekend with great friends just outside of Pigeon Forge, TN. We drove up Friday afternoon (when the rain started) and arrived Friday night to meet our friends the Covingtons and Hamblins. Maggie was SO excited and had a blast. We went to the aquarium in Gatlinburg Saturday (in the rain) and enjoyed watching the kids look at all the fish. Sunday morning we went to the Old Mill Restaurant (still raining) and ate a ton of pancakes, biscuits, muffins, etc...

Afterwards, Maggie tagged along with Uncle Jeff and Aunt Amanda and met up with Toby, Eron, Todd and Ellen at an indoor mini golf place (raining, still). Andy and I took Claire back to the cabin because she just couldn't go anymore...much rest was needed. Our weekend came to an end yesterday as we traveled back to Atlanta (yes, the rain continued) and we are all back at work and school today.

We really enjoyed spending time with our friends and can't wait to see them all again soon!
