If you are reading this. . .PLEASE SEND GAS!!!

If you haven't heard, Metro Atlanta is experiencing a gas shortage. It seems to be getting worse by the day. A few of my co-workers haven't been able to come to work, and others have had to leave gas-starved cars in the parking garage downtown. It may be another week before it gets better. Last weekend I found gas after 4 tries. Tonight it was 11 gas stations before I found only some Premium remaining for $4.49/gallon. And when you do find some, be prepared to wait (and the news claims fight) for it. I guess we'll get some at-home time coming up until the gas truck arrives!

Routines

Well, we all survived my first three days back at work. Claire started daycare last Monday and had her first full day there Wednesday. She did great and it doesn't seem to have bothered her at all. When Maggie started daycare (or as we call it...school), she only napped for about 30 minutes a day. Claire, on the other hand, is still taking two big naps while she is at school and takes another one after we get home.

It was a little more hectic around the house at night and first thing in the morning but we seem to be adjusting. We had a great weekend catching up on to do's around the house and now it's back to our weekday routine.

Here are some pictures from this weekend plus some from the weekend before. The weekend before we took Maggie and Claire to the Yellow River Game Ranch and Maggie also went to her friend, Connor's, birthday party.

Enjoy-

Two Months (and two days)

Claire's two-month checkup went really well. She was very pleasant and patient as we waited for almost an hour to be seen! She now weighs 12 lbs, 3 oz (75th percentile) and is 23 inches long (75th percentile). She got one oral vaccination and two shots and tolerated all rather well considering. She is fast asleep now.

Maggie, Claire and I are all going to Andy's office downtown tomorrow for lunch (as Maggie calls it- GP Downtown). We have also planned a family day Friday to do something fun before I start back to work next week.

Here are some pictures.

Ballet, Visitors, Jalapeno Charlie and Two Months

This past Thursday was a day that Maggie had been looking forward to for several weeks with much anticipation...ballet class started! She looked so cute in her ballet clothes and she was so excited to finally get to wear them. She had a great time in class and her teacher, Ms. Dominique said she did really well. Maggie will continue to take ballet class each Thursday until May.

The Hengsts came to meet Claire and visit with Andy, Maggie and me Saturday. Glenn and I have kept in close touch since our days as college roomates and she and her husband, Todd, and 10 month old little girl, Tana, drove over from Birmingham. We had a nice visit and we can't wait to see them again soon for Tana's 1st birthday!

He's back...Jalapeno Charlie!!!! I couldn't believe what I saw Friday night as Andy and I were watching TV. It was this time last year when he first appeared and it looks like he came back to meet Claire.

Today, Claire turned two months old! We took her to our church for the first time and she did great. We even spent a little time in the baby room where Claire will start school a week from tomorrow. I will have updates as to her height and weight tomorrow after her doctor's check-up as well as a birthday picture.

Pictures from Mississippi

There are a lot of pictures from our two weeks in Mississippi...mostly of Maggie and her best friend in Jackson, Sammie. She and Sammie were born on the same day and Sammie and her parents are neighbors of Gigi and Papa. We also visited with Gran and with Meme and Pap. Unfortunately, Maggie came down with a nasty cold/fever while we were at Meme and Pap's and wasn't herself for most of the visit. She is doing better now. Here are the highlights. If you are interested in seeing all 200+ pictures, email me and I will email you link to view them.
