Finally

There is so much I could say about the past week but I don't even know how to start. Let's just say that moving with a 10 1/2 month old with an ear infection is not the easiest thing I've ever done. The week started with a trip to the pediatrician to check Maggie's ears. The short version of the story is that we got to go back to the doctor on Tuesday and Wednesday also and Maggie had to get two antibiotic shots each day. We will attempt to take her to the doctor here in Jackson sometime later this week to see if those shots actually worked. The bad news is that we are more than likely going to have to look at getting tubes in Maggie's ears as soon as we get to Las Vegas.

The movers finished up packing and loading mid-day Thursday and Maggie, Meme and I got on the road to Mississippi. We spent the weekend in north MS and have arrived in Jackson to spend time with Gran, Gigi and Papa now. Whew!!!!!

The best part is that we are now reunited with Jack Pete. However, it is taking Maggie a little time to warm back up to him. But, by bathtime tonight they were becoming fast friends again, so don't worry Daddy.

That's all for now. I'll try to post more now that we are less crazed.

The End of One Chapter, the Beginning of Another

Today is my last day of work and Maggie's last day at school. It is bittersweet for me as I leave friends and a job that I have truly enjoyed. I also wonder if Maggie will enjoy staying home with me and not get to play with friends for 8 hours a day. The realist in me knows that she will not feel this way but this is me we are talking about here.

Anyway, Andy comes home tonight and we are counting down the minutes.

This may be the last post for a while- maybe two to three weeks as we make the transition to living our lives out of suitcases.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

PS- HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAN!!!!!!!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

That's what little girls are made of. And let me tell you, mine is absolutely precious. Here's the proof:

Maggie went shopping this weekend with Mommy and Gigi and Aunt Jenn (one of Gigi's friends from Mississippi). Maggie just looked too beautiful in this dress for Gigi to pass it up.

The countdown is one for Andy to come home- 2 and a half more days!!!!! We can't wait!

Fact vs. Fiction

First things first...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY DADDY!!!

WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE? from maggie

Fact vs. Fiction

1. Fact or Fiction? Maggie has a valentine at school. Answer- Fact. In Maggie's cubby at school this morning was a cute little Sesame Street valentine from a boy!!!!! (Before Daddy freaks out, everyone had them, not just Maggie).

2. Fact or Fiction? Maggie has now figured out that while crawling will bring her closer to Mommy, it also allows her to run from her. Answer- Fact. And I have the picture to prove it. She was trying to crawl under her ExerSaucer. I did end up having to rescue her.

3. Fact or Fiction? While Andy sunbathed on Sunday, it snowed all day in Atlanta, resulting in a dusting on snow on Monday morning. Answer- Fact. Yes, folks, Winter Weather Storm 2006 was the headline of the news yesterday.

Well, that's all for now.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just pictures

Nothing terribly interesting has gone on this week other than cleaning out a lot of junk out of our house. Maggie had school pictures on Wednesday and here are some pictures before and after school.

The Technology Bubble

So, I now believe that my house is a technology bubble and no technology can either work or be fixed once inside the walls. Now that the internet is working (still no network access), the computer decided that it was tired and wanted to take a full-time break. I say "the computer" but it's just the monitor that has just jumped out the second story window laughing at us all the way to the ground.

That being said, I am back to having to post at work and now I have absolutely no access to anything on our home computer. Yes, we are going to buy another computer but it will be once we are in Las Vegas.

Oh, and for those of you who have been sitting in front of The Weather Channel wondering. No, Maggie and I did not have to shovel our way through the snow to get to the car this morning. Just a little slush to get through. I guess Winter Weather Watch 2006 was a no-show.

Happy Monday!
