Christmas at Meme and Pap's

Andy and I got our present from Santa early this year. Both girls were fantastically well behaved for our trip to MS this past weekend. Especially for the car ride. Claire slept most of the way there and home and Maggie watched Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Ice Age the Meltdown and Wall-E for most of the car ride. We are so lucky!

We had a great time visiting with Meme and Pap and everyone else and the girls loved their Christmas presents. Maggie got to be an angel with Meme and Anna for the church's Christmas program Sunday night which was fun for Andy and I to see.

We are back in Atlanta for a few days before going back to Jackson for Christmas with Gran, Gigi and Papa.

Merry Christmas!

What a crazy week...

Many, many, many pictures have been taken this week and there is no telling how many more will be taken over the next week. This is a sampling of what has gone on in the Kennedy household since Monday (a mere four days ago).

  • Maggie sang in two Christmas programs. One for school, one for church.

  • Cupcakes had to be baked and decorated for one Christmas party.

  • Three family members in town to enjoy Maggie's two programs. Gigi, Uncle Trey and Angie. (Thanks for coming!)

  • 12 gifts, 3 suitcases and lots of other traveling gear had to be packed in one minivan (the Jetta would have exploded if we still had it)

  • And tonight, we will spend 6 hours in the car traveling to Meme and Pap's for an early Christmas. Whew!

Here are pictures of the Christmas programs as well as Maggie making a salad...all by herself...seriously.

Not much I can say about these videos. They pretty much speak for themselves.

    Tis the Season

Here are some pictures of our Christmas tree at home and our Sunday School Christmas party this past weekend. We are all doing fine, just trying to keep everyone well. We have battled colds, ear infections and the stomach virus lately. Right now, everyone is fine. I'll try to get a better update posted soon.

    Long Weekend

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed the long weekend. Andy and I were able to get a lot accomplished with our extra days off work. We started our long weekend off at the pediatrician (I have been there so often lately, I feel like I should get an express pass or something to not wait, etc...). Anyway, Claire has another ear infection so off we go to the ENT. She is doing better now, thankfully.

Thanksgiving was quiet at our house, minus the Christmas tree decorating. Maggie is super excited about Christmas this year and she loved decorating the tree. However, there is a spot at her height where a large cluster of ornaments now reside. We took the girls to see Santa Friday night before we started Christmas shopping. They both did great and as soon as I get the picture scanned in, I'll put it up. Afterwards, they both tolerated Andy and I shopping for a while.

Early Saturday morning, I jumped out of bed after hearing what sounded like a tree falling. Yes, a tree...falling...down. It was a big oak tree that didn't like all the rain from Friday night. Nothing was damaged...no one hurt, just a large mess. After getting to call the fire department to clear the road, I finally went back to sleep around 7, only to get up 30 minutes later when Maggie woke up.

We finished the long weekend up with more shopping and church and now Andy and I have to get to wrapping presents. Here are some pictures of the messy yard.
