Louis Lee Golding, 88, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He was born April 5, 1921, in Union County, MS to the late Clarence Golding and Lena Brandon Golding. He was a veteran of World War 2 having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired farmer, and night watchman for Barclay Furniture. He was an active member of the New Harmony Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years Loris Clayton Golding of Blue Springs; a daughter Martha Kennedy (Hoyle) of New Albany; a son Kenneth Golding (Gail) of Blue Springs; a sister Ernestine Moorman of Pontotoc; 5 grandchildren: Mark Golding (Sandra) of New Albany, Patti Spencer (Joe) of New Albany, Deana Olson (Brian) of New Albany, Brad Kennedy (Cathy) of Blue Springs, and Andy Kennedy (Katie) of Decatur, GA.; 10 great grandchildren; Tony, Tanner, and Tristan Golding, Hanna Grace Spencer, Kyle and Kenley Olson, Anna, David, Maggie, and Claire Kennedy, and Brandi Greer, Colten, Calli, and Caleb Smith
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lois Easley, and 3 brothers Herman Golding, Harold Golding, and Billy Golding
Pallbearers will be Mark Golding, Brad Kennedy, Andy Kennedy, Joe Spencer, Brian Olson, Tony Golding, Tanner Golding, and Kyle Olson. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery.
