Birthday Boy
Andy celebrated his birthday yesterday! We did a birthday dinner for him Monday night and our friend, Casey, came to celebrate with us. Here are some pictures from the festivities.

7 years and 6 months
We celebrated some birthdays in our house last week. Jack Pete turned 7 on January 6th and Claire turned 6 months on the 7th. Jack Pete doesn't act any older.
Claire is doing great. She had her check-up with her pediatrician Friday and had to get 5 vaccinations. Needless to say, she was a little cranky the rest of the day! Anyway, she is 18 lbs (75%) and 27 inches (90%) and looks great. She still isn't rolling over but is sitting up so her doctor didn't think it was anything to think twice about. She started solid foods a while back and has just started eating the stage two baby foods. She loves bananas, peaches, okay...well anything but carrots. She's sleeping great and babbling up a storm. She is starting to really play with toys and the ExerSaucer has made its way up from the basement for her use.
Pictures from the birthdays are below.

The rest of Christmas and the silence that followed
I am enjoying my last few hours of silence (even though we miss the noise) to post pictures of our Christmas in Jackson. Andy and I returned to Atlanta last Sunday minus two very important Kennedys. Maggie and Claire. Maggie and Claire enjoyed an extended vacation in Jackson and have been having a blast with everyone.
We had a great Christmas in Jackson with Gran, Aunt Amy, Gigi, Papa, Uncle Trey and Angie (soon to be Aunt Angie as she and Trey were engaged Christmas day)!!!!!! We are all very excited and can't wait for the big day...March 20, 2010.
Back to Christmas....lots of presents, good food, friends and family.
Andy and I have had a very productive week. We did have to work two days but we spent the rest of the week cleaning, cooking/re-stocking the freezer, blowing leaves (Andy), cleaning some more and getting my new work out room set up. We have also spent several hours playing with our new Wii that Trey and Angie got us for Christmas- THANKS! We love it.
We are counting down the hours until the girls come home. They should be here tomorrow when we get off work and then it's back to our busy routine. Claire has her 6 month check up Friday so there should be an update after that (after I get over the shock of her being six months...already).
Now, pictures...

Christmas at Meme and Pap's
Andy and I got our present from Santa early this year. Both girls were fantastically well behaved for our trip to MS this past weekend. Especially for the car ride. Claire slept most of the way there and home and Maggie watched Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Ice Age the Meltdown and Wall-E for most of the car ride. We are so lucky!
We had a great time visiting with Meme and Pap and everyone else and the girls loved their Christmas presents. Maggie got to be an angel with Meme and Anna for the church's Christmas program Sunday night which was fun for Andy and I to see.
We are back in Atlanta for a few days before going back to Jackson for Christmas with Gran, Gigi and Papa.
Merry Christmas!

What a crazy week...
Many, many, many pictures have been taken this week and there is no telling how many more will be taken over the next week. This is a sampling of what has gone on in the Kennedy household since Monday (a mere four days ago).
Maggie sang in two Christmas programs. One for school, one for church.
Cupcakes had to be baked and decorated for one Christmas party.
Three family members in town to enjoy Maggie's two programs. Gigi, Uncle Trey and Angie. (Thanks for coming!)
12 gifts, 3 suitcases and lots of other traveling gear had to be packed in one minivan (the Jetta would have exploded if we still had it)

And tonight, we will spend 6 hours in the car traveling to Meme and Pap's for an early Christmas. Whew!
Here are pictures of the Christmas programs as well as Maggie making a salad...all by herself...seriously.
